colour.
worth the appointment.
hair colour by dilara — balayage, blonde, gloss, and roots. by appointment in paddington.
the colour work.
dilara has spent her career refining one thing — colour that suits the person wearing it, not a trend or a tube. every service begins with a complimentary thirty-minute consultation, where she looks at your hair history, your tone, your lifestyle, and the result you actually want.
we use formulations that are free of ammonia, ppd and resorcinol. it's a different chemistry than most salons use. the trade-off is that it lifts more slowly — but it doesn't damage the hair the same way harsher systems do. you'll notice less dryness, less breakage, and colour that grows out cleanly.
it's for clients who care about how their hair holds up over months, not just the day they walk out.
-
soft, hand-painted highlights for natural depth and grow-out grace. typically three to four hours, depending on hair length and density.
-
finer, softer highlights for a delicate, woven blend. one to one and three-quarter hours.
-
for cleaner coverage or a more dimensional blonde, focused on the top sections of the hair. two and a half to four hours.
-
full coverage, more dimensional blonde, every section worked. three to four and a half hours.
-
for an even, single-tone lift across the head. one and a half to two and a half hours.
-
a gentle bleach bath to lift unwanted tone — used as prep before colour, or to soften brassy or old colour from a previous salon. includes a wash. priced by length.
-
full colour for rich brunettes, a saturated single tone, or seamless coverage. one to two and a half hours.
-
kept clean and uncomplicated, scheduled around your hair, not the salon. forty-five minutes to one and a half hours.
-
between-appointment care for shine, tone correction, and a polished finish. thirty minutes to one hour.
-
for clients with russian extensions installed at ren. a custom root stretch designed for your set — gentler on bonds, blended to feel like one continuous head of hair. by consultation, priced by weight.
also at ren —
the smoothing and nanoplasty
dilara also offers our in-house smoothing treatments — though not in the same appointment as colour.
the smoothing — plant-based, formaldehyde-free. softens frizz and adds shine. requires a 3-4 day gap before any toner work, and a 14-day gap before global colour or bleach. from $280.
the nanoplasty — semi-permanent smoothing and straightening for clients ready for low-maintenance, naturally fluid hair. same wait times as the smoothing apply. results last 4-8 months with aftercare. from $350.
if you're considering colour AND smoothing, mention it at the consultation. dilara will plan the sequence so each treatment supports the next — not competes with it.
the process.
consultation.
thirty minutes, complimentary. dilara assesses your hair history, tone, density, and the result you're after. you leave with a recommendation, no obligation.
proposal.
within two days you receive a written proposal — the recommended service, the full cost, and the ongoing maintenance plan. all in one document, no surprises.
appointment.
unhurried. precise. balayage runs three to four hours, full colour one to two and a half. bring a book, headphones, or simply let the time pass quietly.
maintenance.
colour services have a cadence. balayage holds two to four months; full colour and roots usually three to six weeks. dilara recommends the right rhythm for your hair at consultation.
a few questions, before you ask.
-
these three chemistries are responsible for most of the damage we see in clients coming from other salons — dryness, breakage, scalp sensitivity, fade. removing them slows the lift slightly but protects the hair's condition. clients who switch to our formulations almost always tell us their hair feels different within two to three appointments.
it's not marketing language. it's just chemistry.
-
probably not. most lift services from dark base require multiple sessions and rest periods to keep the hair intact. dilara will tell you honestly at the consultation how many appointments your specific goal needs, the realistic timeline, and what each session costs.
we'd rather lose a booking than over-promise.
-
no — and there's a real reason for it.
after a smoothing or nanoplasty treatment, the hair needs time to settle before any colour work. we wait a minimum of 3-4 days before any toner work, and 14 days before global colour or bleach.
it's not a delay — it's how each treatment holds best. dilara will plan the sequence at your consultation.
-
less than colour done in higher-strength systems. our formulations deposit tone more gently and hold longer between visits. for blondes, we recommend a purple shampoo at home and a gloss every six to eight weeks. for brunettes, a gloss every eight to ten weeks keeps the tone fresh.
-
yes. the formulations we use cover up to one hundred percent grey when applied correctly. dilara will assess your specific grey coverage at the consultation and plan accordingly.
-
honest conversation at the consultation. some hair is too compromised to colour safely in the same appointment. if that's the case, we'll recommend a treatment series first — the hair revival, the smoothing, or a colour cleanse — before adding new colour.
we'd rather repair before we redesign.
-
thirty minutes. complimentary. you'll leave with a colour match and a recommended plan. within two days, you'll have a full written proposal — cost, schedule, maintenance, everything in one place.
-
yes. dilara also does gentlemen's grey blending and gentlemen's highlights. ask at the consultation, or see our gentlemen's grooming services.
investment.
colour at ren begins at $60 (a colour cleanse) and runs up to $459 (full balayage on extra-long hair). the price depends on length, the service, and your starting condition. full cost is always confirmed in writing in your proposal — within two days of your consultation.
extension colour work is priced separately by weight, given the time and care required to colour around bonds.
staying in.
ren members receive priority on colour and treatment maintenance, with a held appointment slot at the cadence your colour needs. you'll hear about the membership at consultation if it makes sense for your schedule.
